Yummy, I love Taco Luis!
This is not your average authentic Mexican restaraunt. Taco Luis is fast food mexican food (no, not like taco bell) and owned by a Vietnamese man. Think of it as a fast food mexican shop that's like Subway. His first shop was at Lansdowne and has opened another one in Oakridge mall.
My go to will always be the taco salad, crispy burritos, and 12 inch wrap. You can choose whether you want beans, beef or chicken. Please note chicken will cost an extra 50-75 cents. You can choose to have it a la carte or combo which comes with your tater tots and choice of drink. When you choose what you want, they will ask if you want bean, beef or chicken. After, they will ask you what toppings you like (like Subway). They have two salsa choices, one mild and one hot. The hot salsa is not hot, but it does taste better than the mild one.
Definetly give it a try! -

Food is good here. The owner is at this location and not in Richmond. The owner has watered down the hot and mild sauce to them point of it being juice. They're very stingy with the napkins too and shouldn't be considering their food isn't cheap but I imagine the rent is very expensive though.

Stay far away!
Had their chicken soft taco and it was sweet, not bland but sweet. Asian girl helping us was very rude, just slapped everything together.
"Home made guacamole looked like a lotion or something. I would never eat here again. First and last time.
We ended up buying our second lunch elsewhere. -

Ok, I do understand that Taco Luis is a fast food Mexican joint found in a mall food court and owned by non-Mexicans, so I do not expect authentic. But comon, "guacamole" that's watery enough to be able to be "pumped" out of a container is just... wrong.
The tater tots were tasty though, I love my potatoes! -

This place was terrible by pretty much every standard.
Service: Plan on being half-ignored while you're ordering and for them to forget (or just not care, I think) what you actually ordered.
Food: The food here is somehow flavorless, yet it still tastes bad. How did they accomplish this?! The veggies seemed reasonably fresh/crisp but flavorless. I'm pretty sure by "Soft Taco or Burrito" they're talking the exact same thing - my wife ordered the taco, which was... burrito-sized. My hardshell tacos were crunchy, and also flavorless. The nachos are literally just cheap tortilla chips with some shredded cheese dumped on it and *thrown in the microwave*. I wish I was kidding. I'm pretty sure everything there is store bought in mass quantities, and then just.. assembled.
Prices: LOL. No. I wouldn't even pay half of what they ask for to eat here again.
Absolutely not. Never again. Please, let our terrible experience at least prevent others from wasting their money and tastebuds on this place. They're an insult to fast food.
